The computer’s microchip brain is the revolutionary innovation that allows it to perform virtually any task imaginable, from controlling the brakes on your car to allowing people to share ideas at the speed of light around the world. New designs and a growing global infrastructure that allow computers and people to easily connect to each other are contributing to the rapid growth and use of world-wide networks like the Internet. These networks are revolutionizing the way we work and play.
